August 31, 2011 Doing the Right Thing Company Logo Design
Pick up any article or book on logo design and more likely than not, it will try to share with you, an admiring reference or two to the iconic “I Heart NY” logo that really put New York on the map (even more so than it was before). That logo was the creation of a graphic designer called Milton Glaser. Successful company logo design could have a lot to learn from the principles that went into the creation of that particular icon – simplicity, and a way discovered of making a connection with the viewer. Both these qualities made that icon be particularly well loved and long-lived. What is it that makes the logo of a business, a standard, which people will make a part of their lives forever – assuming of course that the product the logo represents is a good one?
